Affiliate Disclosure

runthetool.com earns commission when a reader clicks a link on this site and goes on to buy software.

If you buy through one of those links, the price you pay is exactly the same. The vendor pays a share of what they would have kept. It costs you nothing, and it is the only way this site funds itself.

Which companies pay us

We are in, or are applying to, the affiliate programmes of:

  • HubSpot
  • Semrush
  • GetResponse

This list is current as of the date at the bottom of this page. If it changes, this page changes with it.

What that money does not buy

It does not buy a good review. No company on this site has approval over what we publish, has seen a review before it went live, or has been given the chance to change one. None of them pay for placement, position or a score.

It does not decide what we cover. We write about tools we have actually set up and used. If a tool with no affiliate programme is the better answer to a question, we say so and link to it anyway, with no commission to us.

It does not survive a bad result. If a tool disappoints us in testing, the review says so. A negative review that costs us commission is the only thing that makes a positive one worth reading.

How to tell

Every affiliate link on this site is marked before you reach it. Every review states what we actually did with the product — which plan, for how long, and on what task — so you can judge the evidence rather than take our word for it.
